Mimi Chakraborty is an Indian actress, predominantly from the Bengali film fraternity. She forayed into the political fray in 2019 as a TMC candidate. she contested and won from Jadavpur constituency in 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Chakraborty’s margin was the fifth highest in the state of West Bengal. She made her debut as an actress in the movie Bapi Bari Jaa after a six years TV serial project Gaaner Oparey, which was made to pay tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on the 150th anniversary of his birth.
